KYA DICKSON

Architecture As A Country

Lithograph, on Paper, 15" x 11"

2025

This piece is part of a series exploring placemaking and identity through the architecture of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey.

Hagia Sophia has undergone many architectural transformations, survived fires and earthquakes, raids, destruction, and changed religious and political hands. These changes reflect and offer insight into the changes and transformations exhibited in Constantinople/Istanbul and Turkey overall.
